British Airways has been named the top short-haul and long-haul airline in a new poll by travellers.
The Conde Nast Traveller's 17th annual Readers' Travel Awards took place on Monday night - and unveiled BA as the king of the airlines, beating Virgin into second place in long-haul, and Turkish Airlines in short-haul.
Easyjet made an appearance at 10th place in the top short-haul category, but Ryanair failed to hit the mark.
Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Etihad rounded up the top 5 long-haul services, while Lufthansa Swiss International Air Lines and Aer Lingus finished off the best short-haul top five.
Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, London was voted the UK's best city for the fourth year in a row.
Brighton is where you should head for the best restaurants and bars, Cambridge is top for culture vultures, and Bath placed top in the best architecture category.
Hampshire's Chewton Glen (above) was named the UK's best hotel.
Outside of Britain, New York beat Paris as the top overseas destination, while Italy was our favourite country to visit, and the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok was voted the best hotel in the world.
Back in April, British Airways was also named the nation's favourite airline in a poll by Skycanner.
The survey of 4,000 UK airline passengers found that travellers were impressed by British Airways' in-flight meals and drinks, the experience on-board (including airline cleanliness and comfort), its style and customer service - enforcing its 'To Fly. To Serve' motto.
