Long term report: Peugeot 3008

In the few weeks that I've been lucky enough to be behind the wheel of our long-term 3008, I've worked out that (a) it's pretty nippy around town; (b) it's a capable and economical motorway mile-muncher; and (c) it elicits praise from everyone I've had as a passenger in the car.
This month I discovered something new. It's an effective load-lugger. I was involved in the planning and staging of a recent work-based conference, which involved taking a LOT of equipment and paraphernalia from the South Coast to the wilds of Northamptonshire a couple of weeks ago.

The car performed magnificently, with its spacious interior swallowing plenty of flags, folders, boxes and badges. Nice and easy with the exceedingly practical split tailgate! In fact, it's not overstating things to say that KM63SHV played a vital role in the success of the occasion.

In other news, I've been piloting the big Peugeot up the A3 for my regular spot of moonlighting in London lately. The journey gets ever more difficult, I'm sorry to report. As well as the apparent rebuilding of the Hammersmith flyover, they're about to close Putney Bridge for three months. I wonder if the 3008 has any amphibious qualities? I Might head for Richmond and try to float down the Thames from there.

And I have a suffered an unavoidable mishap, with a chunky stone chip damaging the windscreen recently. Over the course of a weekend, the chip became a crack and as I write this, we await the arrival of the nice windscreen replacement people to come and do their stuff. Fortunately, the damage is not in my line of vision so I've been assured the car is perfectly safe to drive. Good news.
