Fist fight between pilot and cabin crew delays plane for 6 hours
A fist fight between the pilot and a cabin crew member caused a Saudi Arabian Airlines plane to be grounded for six hours last week.
According to Arabian Business, a verbal argument between the pilot and a cabin crew member turned violent and the pilot sustained an eye injury and had to be taken to hospital.
The steward was treated at the airport for hand injuries.
The passenger plane was evacuated and grounded for 6 hours after the argument.
The plane was preparing to take-off from Madinah en route to Cairo when the incident happened.
The aircraft was carrying 153 passengers, all of whom were evacuated from the plane and taken to a transit hall.
'The fight took place as the plane was about to take off,' said Col Mutaz Youssef, duty head of the airport police.
The plane departed 6 hours behind schedule.
According to the Daily Mail, it is not know what triggered the fight.
