As Britain basks in its best summer for years, property experts are advising vendors to make the most of their gardens in order to attract buyers.

Property website Whosoldwhere.com says that outdoor space - whether a balcony, communal area or shared garden - adds 10% to the asking price of a home. However, it's important to make sure that the garden is inviting, rather than an eyesore.
