Wimbledon strawberries but no cream

The traditional Wimbledon strawberries and cream may be a thing of the past as Brits ditch dairy for phoney non-dairy alternatives, according to researcher Mintel.

It has found evidence that volume sales of fresh dairy cream declined by 2% between 2011 and 2013 to reach 52 million litres. But volume sales of non-dairy alternatives increased 12% over the same two year period to reach 19 million litres in 2013.
