Holidaymakers warned on healthcare

Holidaymakers with European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) are being warned to be on their guard against hospitals and clinics in countries such as Spain and Greece forcing them to fork out for emergency medical care that should be free.

The problem has become more common in recent years, prompting the European Commission to take legal action against Spain last year.
