A man was rescued in Dorset after falling 30ft down a cliff at Durdle Door.

Lulworth and Wyke Coastguard attended the scene and found that the man had fallen 30ft down the 100ft cliff face and lanced on a ledge, Bournemouth Echo reports.

The man, in his 20s, suffered minor cuts and bruises.

According to the BBC, he had been walking with his partner and was trying to take photos when he slipped and fell.

In February, walkers in Dorset were warned to stay away from cliffs after a "large" cliff fall at East Cliff Beach, West Bay.

Fire service and police were at the scene urging people to stay away.

A coastguard helicopter was sent "to determine the state of the remaining cliffs".

The beach was closed off after 400 tonnes of rock crashed onto the tourist beach.

No-one was reported missing or injured in the landslide.
