One in 10 homes 'in fuel poverty'

More than one in 10 households struggle with energy costs in England, with 2.28 million homes in fuel poverty in 2012, official figures show.

The gap between the bills fuel poor households face and what they can afford to pay was £443 on average in 2012, the latest year for which figures are available.
