Countrywide savings
At Letsgowiththechildren.co.uk, there are discount vouchers and deals available on a huge range of resorts, activities and family days out, right across the UK. You can search by county and take your pick. There are two-for-one deals, free child entry with full price adult tickets, and discounts galore, including 10 per cent off admission to Chester Zoo, 15 per cent off entry to Diggerland Parks, and at Blenheim Palace you can pay for one day and get a full 12 months free.

Pay a little, save a lot
The idea behind Daysout.co.uk is that you pay a small amount to buy a discount voucher, but save big on the price of various attractions around the UK. For example, one voucher would set you back £2.99, but for that you could save cash with a two-for-one ticket offer at Drayton Manor Family Theme Park. There are thousands of such deals available with your vouchers, and if you have a big family or a lot planned, you can also buy five vouchers for £5, or pay £15 and get an unlimited number of discount deals over the next year.

Join the club
Saving money has become a big deal for many Brits, and none more so than families. At Myfamilyclub.co.uk there is not only a whole host of tips on saving money, entertaining the kids on a budget, but a range of discounts and offers on attractions and even family holidays, all in one place. For instance, if you are planning a trip to the capital there are loads of discounts on London attractions, including 30 per cent off at the London Dungeon, 45 per cent of Ripley's Believe It Or Not Piccadilly Circus, and up to 18 per cent off at London Zoo.

Cereal savers
If you have a young family, there's a good chance a box of Kellogg's cereal makes it into your cupboards each week. The breakfast cereal giant is currently running a 'Grown-ups Go Free' promotion, where you can claim a free adult ticket to a range of days out when you buy a full-priced adult or child ticket (with a voucher from a promotional pack). Sea Life Centres, Madame Tussauds, Aqua Zone, Thorpe Park and Legoland are just some of the UK favourites on offer. Though the London Eye offer is no longer valid, most participating attractions will accept them right up until 30 June 2015. Look out for the special packs or go online for more information.

Film fun
When the kids are driving you mad and the weather is keeping everyone indoors, a trip to the cinema can be a lifesaver. And thankfully there are cinemas up and down the country offering cheap and (hopefully) cheerful kids' tickets. Sign up for a free myCineworld account and children can see a film for just £1.35 on a weekend or school holiday morning (or £2.70 if it's a 3D movie). Vue Cinemas have a similar deal where kids aged between two and 12 can pay just £1.75 with the Kids AM offer (selected mornings), and Odeon kids' screenings, again on weekend and school holiday mornings, offer tickets for £2.50.
