A train passed over an Alabama woman who fell asleep on the tracks - and she miraculously survived.

According to the Daily Caller, the 22-year-old woman fell asleep on the train tracks in Auburn, Alabama and was unaware that a train had just passed over her sleeping body.

The train, carrying two engines and one car passed over Lynsey Horne but she survived the incident without a scratch, reports the Daily Mail.

Capt. Lorenza Dorsey told AL.com that officers found Horne conscious on the tracks near Ross and Gay streets after responding to a report saying someone had been hit by a train at 9:10 am yesterday.

Dorsey said Horne's petite frame and the fact that the train only had two engines and one car prevented her from being injured.

Auburn police charged Horne with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Despite being unaware anything even happened, Horne caused quite a disruption. The train had to be stopped, an ambulance called and a medical helicopter was put on standby.

Although she had no visible wounds, she was transported to a local hospital to check for injuries.

According to the Daily Mail, Police believe Horne got on the tracks and fell asleep not long before the train passed over her.
