Europe's only four-person zip wire - which will see thrill-seekers fly down three wires over a total distance of five miles - opens to the public tomorrow in Snowdonia.

Zip World Titan gives visitors the chance to "fly" in unison at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.

The new adrenaline-inducing zip line at Llechwedd Slate Caverns near the historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog has made action-packed Snowdonia the international zip line capital of the world.

Last April Zip World launched Zip World Velocity, the longest zipline in the northern hemisphere, where riders plummet 500ft above a lake at the world's oldest slate quarry down a mile-long wire at speeds reaching over 100mph. The zipline, at Penryhn Quarry, Bethesda, attracted more than 40,000 visitors in its first nine months.

Zip World co-owner Sean Taylor said: "Zip World Titan has made Snowdonia the best place in the world for a zip line adventure. Titan is a truly one-of-a-kind experience as there is nowhere else in Europe where families and friends can share the flying experience together.

"There is a huge zest for adventure in the UK and we cannot wait to welcome more visitors through the doors this summer."

Zip World Titan has been supported by £250,000 of Welsh Government Tourism Investment.

Tickets cost £50 per person for all three zips. A four-person ticket costs £180.
