Crash victim offers £10,000 reward to identify driver
Andrew Scottow was driving along the A47 near Dereham on Valentine's Day last year when he was forced to swerve to avoid a recklessly-driven black car, which has only been identified as a Peugeot.
The manoeuvre placed his Skoda Felicia in the path of a Peugeot 406, in which Kim Utting, who died in the head-on collision, was a passenger.
Mr Scottow was taken to Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge with a brain hemorrhage, broken bones and a ruptured diaphragm. He remained in a critical condition for a number of weeks.
A police spokesman told the BBC: "Despite numerous appeals, the identity of the driver of the black car is still unknown, so Mr Scottow is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the collision."
Mr Scottow said: "Someone has killed someone, and they wake up every day knowing they have got away with it, and they don't care.
"I know someone knows, and I want to prick their conscience."
The driver of the black Peugeot did not stop at the scene and despite police combing through CCTV footage, the driver has yet to be caught. Officers are now appealing for drivers of two further vehicles – a green Peugeot and white flatbed lorry – which were overtaken by the black vehicle, to get in contact with them.
