Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton enjoy gondola ride on romantic trip to Venice

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have been spotted enjoying the famous gondolas on a romantic trip to Venice, Italy.

The singer and the Formula One ace appeared to have eyes only for each other as they attempted to take in the sights of the beautiful city by (love) boat.

According to the Mirror, the snaps were taken on Wednesday just days after Lewis scored only second place in the Monaco Grand Prix.

Nicole was also in Monte Carlo last weekend to support her beau, and was seen soaking up the sun in a black halter neck bikini on a luxury private yacht.

Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of the race with Nico Rosberg, Lewis spoke about their different backgrounds and claimed he was 'hungrier' to win.

He said: "I come from a not great place in Stevenage and lived on a couch in my dad's apartment.

"And Nico grew up in Monaco with jets and hotels and boats. So the hunger is different. I've got to be the hungriest guy in the cockpit to win the World Championship."

And now Lewis is worth an estimated £68 million and can treat himself and his famous girlfriend to a host of luxury trips - including taking gondola trips in the City of Love.
