A daredevil diver has been filmed stroking a shark like it's some kind of pet puppy dog.

Cristina Zenato can be seen rubbing the nose of the Caribbean reef shark, which appears to quite enjoy the attention.

According to the Metro, the scene was caught on camera while Ms Zenato was diving in the Bahamas, in the Caribbean.

The Inquisitr reports that the footage was shot by Stephen Frink films using a GoPro Camera. Cristina is a UNEXSO (Underwater Explorers Society) professional shark handler, so don't try this on your next holiday.

It's certainly a beautiful scene - but nevertheless, we think we'll stick to dogs...

Meanwhile, back in March, a man filmed himself fending off a shark while diving in the Western Caribbean Sea.

Jason Dimitri was lion fish culling when the predator "came out of nowhere".

Dimitri uploaded the video on YouTube and wrote: "It scared the c**p out of me."

The diver added that he was in 70 feet of water when the shark came to defend its territory.

And, last September, the extraordinary moment a deadly tiger shark stole a camera from a diver's hands in the Caribbeanwas caught on camera.

The cheeky shark caused havoc during an underwater diving expedition in the Bahamas after snatching an expensive camera from the hands of a petrified photographer.
