Lady Gaga's Rolls-Royce to be auctioned
The nutty pop starlet's divisive taste in fashion clearly doesn't stop at the numerous insane costumes she is often photographed wearing, as one of her more interesting vehicles has recently been listed for auction.
The bright red 1990 Rolls-Royce III convertible was purchased by Gaga in 2012 and used as part of a publicity stunt that saw the Grammy winning artist transported to the Guggenheim Museum in style.
It is estimated to fetch between $30,000-$50,000 (£17,793 – £29,652) when it goes under the hammer at a special Julien's Auctions Music Icons auction on May 17 at the Hard Rock Café in New York.
The gigantic drop-top Corniche packs a 6.75-litre V8 under its massive, 5.2-metre-long frame, which channels its power through a period three-speed gearbox.
Lady Gaga is to offer 100 per cent of the sale of the vehicle to MusiCares, a non-profit organisation that offers assistance for people in the music industry when it is most needed.
A number of other Gaga items will be sold in the lot, including a pair of Jean Paul Gaultier sunglasses signed on the lens in silver felt pen, a custom-made crystal-covered silver Versace flight jumpsuit worn in a Terry Richardson fashion shoot and a black vinyl "Aura" headpiece worn during the 'Art Rave' tour.
If you don't fancy purchasing the madcap musician's motor and would prefer to simply take a browse, the Corniche will be on display at the Hard Rock Café in New York this week.
