Retirees make £100k by renting out a spare room

The number of older people advertising rooms to let has shot up in the last two years, with many netting more than £100,000 in rent during their retirement.

According to agency Spareroom.co.uk, the biggest rise is amongst 55 to 64-year-olds, with the number renting out a room rising by 93 percent in just two years.
