Skydiver dies after landing in back garden on Easter Sunday
A man has died after his parachute failed to open during a skydive.
Arkady Shenker, from Brooklyn, New York, reportedly landed in a the back garden of a residential home after the accident in New Jersey.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said it was unclear whether his parachute opened properly.
An experienced skydiver with more than 350 jumps under his belt, Shenker had been taking part in a jump organised by Freefall Adventures along with 15 others.
Onlooker Anne Marie Dye, who was organising an Easter egg hunt at the time, told ABC News: "I saw the jumpers. Then I noticed one, and he kind of looked like he wasn't conscious. He was just spinning."
He then landed in a nearby back yard and paramedics were called to the scene.
According to NBC News, he was rushed to Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township, where he was pronounced dead.
