Deer has close encounter with UFO (video)

A UFO was spotted approaching a deer in rural Mississippi by a couple who had set up trail cameras in the woods.

Edith and Rainer Shattles told WLOX they were hoping to capture images of bucks and fawns but instead discovered mysterious lights in the night sky over the Cumbest Bluff part of Jackson County.

Edith said: "We have unusual things happen around here that happen, but it's usually associated with our grandchildren. But this case, we didn't know what it was.

"I was looking for a nice buck to be showing up on the trail camera actually."

The 30-minute footage shows a dim light emerging from the darkness and getting brighter a few minutes later. A weird shape then appears on the camera before the deer are lit up brightly. Soon another sharper light appears and gets closer, seeming to focus on the deer.

The light appears as headlights off the ground and then flies away.

According to the Daily Mail, Mr Shattles believes it could be a government drone flying close to the deer.

"Well, if it's alien, I'm not sure about that. But it's definitely a UFO," he told WLOX.

In January, a passenger plane was involved in a near-miss with a UFO while flying near Heathrow Airport.

The pilot of the jet reported a 'rugby-ball'-shaped UFO passing within a few feet of the plane.

In a UK Airprox Board report, the captain said the object was going to crash into his aircraft, so he ducked as it headed towards him.

After composing himself and contacting air traffic controllers to report the incident, the pilot said there was no sign of the object.

The mysterious object has not been identified by investigators.
