Beyonce's cobra-skin jumpsuit seized by European customs

Beyonce's cobra-skin one-legged bespoke jumpsuit custom-made for her in New York almost didn't make it into Europe after being blocked by customs.

New York designer Rubin Singer, known as a "rare skin specialist" who also created Bey's racy Super Bowl look in 2013 (above), created the garment for Bey's world tour, Mrs Carter.

But customs didn't take too kindly to the outfit, and blocked it until Beyonce's 'people' could get the relevant paperwork in order, reports the Evening Standard.

The papers finally arrived on time for the singer to wear the garment on the opening night of her shows in Lisbon on Wednesday.

According to the Daily Mail, it's not the first time Beyoncé's love of animal skin has got her in hot water.

This time last year, she commission Perfectly Made Kicks to transform her Isabel Marant wedge trainers with five different anial skins: stingray, anaconda, ostrich, crocodile and calf.

Animal rights groups condemned the singer for the action, blasting her "spilt" and "cruel".

The singer's world tour finished on 27 March after 132 shows in Europe, North America, South America and Australasia.

During the Europe leg of her tour, in which she played 60 shows, Bey and hubby Jay-Z have engaged in a number of tourist activities, including a family bike ride around Amsterdam, and sightseeing at the iconic La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
