The Easter holidays are nearly here and everyone is looking for things to do with the kids. From days out to short breaks in the UK, you've come to the right place because we have lots of great suggestions and inspiration for you!
Easter falls on Sunday 20th of April this year, which is relatively late - so it might just be warm enough to pack up the buckets and spades and head for the nearest beach (we can always hope!). Whatever the weather, no one wants to stay cooped up indoors: spring is very definitely in the air and there's lots of energy to burn.
Luckily, it's at this time of year when the UK starts blooming, so visits to woodlands, parks and farms are definitely on the agenda. There are easter egg hunts galore, baby lambs to pet, bluebells to admire and many family-friendly activities that are cheap or even free.
This year, the National Trust and the National Trust Scotland have again teamed up with Cadbury to hold Easter egg hunts all over the country - there are 300 locations to choose from, so there's bound to be one near you.
And the English Heritage has just launched a new series of family 'quests' across the country for 2014, putting a twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt. Families can explore castles, stately homes and Roman sites and Children are invited to crack clues on the way and there are lots of chocolate prizes for the winners,
Other family-friendly Easter 2014 highlights around the UK include chocolate making classes at York's Chocolate Story, and an Easter Eggztravaganza event at Willows Farm in St Albans (think egg hunts, baby lambs and falconry displays) and the chance to meet Edwin the Rabbit on the London Eye.
