75 year-old Emma Duvoll's fortune cookie led to a $2million win for the lucky New Yorker.
The grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of one has previously tried family birthdays and anniversaries with no luck.
Duvoll won the lottery on February 1 after matching five of the numbers from the fortune cookie. She opted for a one-time lump sum payment totaling $1,246,085 after taxes, reports CNN. She said she was "surprised, but pleased" with her new fortune and intends to use her winnings to visit family in Switzerland and invest the rest.
