A woman's body has been found in two pieces on different levels of a Melbourne hotel car park.

The woman was discovered by a cleaner at the Bayview On The Park Hotel at around 5am on Thursday morning.

Manager Mathew D'Rozario said the cleaner found the bottom half of the woman's body in the hotel's ground floor car park and the upper body was then discovered on the first floor car park.

Mr D'Rozario told The Age: "When I saw it I just couldn't say anything, I am still shaking and most of the staff are shaken up.

"I have never seen anything like that ... When you see this picture you just think 'oh my god'."

According to the Daily Mail, he added that the woman appeared to be Asian and was between 25 and 30 years old.

It is thought the woman's body was severed during a fall, and Victoria Police, who are investigating the incident, do not believe the death to be suspicious.
