The number of vacancies in construction and property firms has increased by 81% in the past year, according to a new report.
Around 10,700 new jobs have been advertised in the sectors so far in 2014, said employment firm reed.co.uk.
There are now three times more vacancies being advertised in construction and property than four years ago.
There has also been a record growth in estate agency jobs, and a general increase in vacancies across industry, said reed.
James Reed, chairman of reed.co.uk, said: "We should be cautious of too much growth being focused on too narrow a part of the economy, as well as the possible consequences of a bursting property bubble.
"Consistent jobs growth across all sectors combined with the conditions by which more employees can increase their earnings will enable us to benefit from a sustainable recovery."
