A woman narrowly avoided being hit by a high speed train in the Netherlands when she tried to cross a level crossing.

CCTV footage shows a group of people ducking under a safety barrier to cross the tracks with the woman following behind.

She quickly ducks back under as she sees the train approaching and manages to escape without injury.

The incident happened in Oisterwijk and the video was released by ProRail to raise awareness for safety at railway stations.

Last year, the moment a reckless man narrowly escaping death as he ran over a level crossing was caught on camera.

CCTV footage of the incident in Lincoln showed the man swinging his leg over the barrier after crossing, just a second before the train thunders passed at 40mph.
