'Robocop' stopping perverts on Japanese trains
In a move that sounds like something straight out of a film, Japanese police have recruited a 'Robocop' to protect women commuters from perverts on trains.
The Osaka Police Department collaborated with the West Japan Railway Company to develop the robot, reports the Indian Express.
According to the Mirror, the police website says: "Robocop is a hammer of justice to molesters threatening women."
It will also have the right to arrest other law-breaking citizens, and will warn passengers not to leave their belongings in carriages.
In addition, reports the Financial Express, it will also warn drivers not to leave possessions on view in their cars.
