Man's naked body found on beach in Cornwall

A man's naked body has been found on a beach in Cornwall.

The body was spotted near the water by a female dog walker on Perranporth beach.

Speaking to the West Briton, Duty sergeant from Truro police station David Cook said: "We have had a body wash up on the beach of a male person and at this time we are making enquiries as to his identity."

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall police told the BBC they believed the body had been in the sea before washing up on the beach.

The beach was closed, and officers are investigating.

The man's identity and age are currently unknown.
