Johnny Depp and his fiancée Amber Heard are reportedly looking to buy a £13 million English country pile in Somerset that would give Downton Abbey a run for its money.

The A-list star is thought to be planning on buying the Hadspen Manor for an English base for him and his soon-to-be wife, reports the Daily Mail.

Hadspen Estate in Castle Cary, Somerset, has been in the Hobhouse family since 1785, and is thought to now be up for sale for between £12m and £13 million.

The stunning house sits on 850 acres of land, and features 12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and beautiful walled gardens.

The estate also includes additional houses and cottages, farm buildings, and a tenanted dairy farm.

According to the Western Daily Press, Castle Cary trader Heather Burch who owns Heather's Flowers on Fore Street, said she'd heard the Johnny Depp rumours doing the rounds.

"It would have been nice to have him come in to the shop," she said. "But there are already quite a few celebrities who live nearby."

Johnny already owns a number of properties across the globe, and even has his own paradise island in the Bahamas.

He snapped up Little Halls Pond Cay in the Exumas for $2.2m back in 2004.
