One British couple were left sorely disappointed when they arrived at Birmingham Airport ready to jet off to the Caribbean - only to find they'd accidentally booked tickets from a city with the same name in Alabama, America.
Kevin Jones, from Leicester, and his partner, Jeanette, booked the 'bargain' £800 tickets to Trinidad thinking they'd got a brilliant deal.
But they'd actually booked to fly from the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport in Alabama, a mere 4,000 miles away.
The Independent reports that the pair had booked their car into the long-stay car park and got as far as the check-in before they were aware of their mistake.
According to the Metro, Mr Jones said: "The girl at the information desk broke the news with a very sympathetic look that our flight was leaving over 2,000 miles away.
"We had no choice but to get our car out of long stay and drive home."
In a bid to cheer themselves up, the pair then booked a bargain break in Benidorm, instead.
