Cheryl Cole befriends dog on holiday in South Africa

Cheryl Cole is enjoying a winter holiday in South Africa and is making the most of her sunshine break by relaxing at the beach and making friends with the locals.

The singer, 30, was pictured smiling as she held a cute Yorkshire Terrier she'd met on the beach.

Cole wore a black bikini and aviator sunglasses as she posed for the snaps before sharing them on Instagram.

She captioned the photos: "It doesn't matter where I go in the world i will somehow always manage to find a dog to love".

Dog lover Cheryl posted a series of photos over Christmas, including one of her posing in the sun with a cocktail in hand.

She wrote: "My first hot Christmas. I hope you're all having a lovely Christmas Eve ! Kisses..."

While Cheryl has been soaking up the sunshine in South Africa, her close friend Simon Cowell has been enjoying romantic strolls on the beach with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman in Barbados.
