Simon Cowell was spotted practicing for fatherhood with his pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman as he played with a friend's baby on the beach in Barbados.

Cowell, 54, who was wearing blue and white shorts, cooed over the baby during a romantic stroll with Silverman.

The X Factor judge looked relaxed and comfortable bonding with the child as his 36-year-old girlfriend looked on.

The pair soon continued their walk on the sand and were pictured holding hands and putting their arms around each other.

They were also stopped by a local artist selling paintings on the beach.

Earlier this week, Simon enjoyed a ride on a jet-ski and was pictured alone on the beach.
