Updated

Police are appealing for the public's help to find a 47-year-old man who was reported missing when his camper van was found at Bempton Cliffs near Bridlington, Yorkshire.

Simon Hodgson-Greaves was reported missing on Saturday after a member of the public became concerned that his vehicle had been parked at the RSPB visitor centre overnight, but he was nowhere to be seen.

He was last seen by a member of his family on Sunday 15 December. He is known to go on frequent camping trips and likes to go walking.

North Yorkshire Police are concerned for his safety and are exploring the possibility that Mr Hodgson-Greaves had gone walking in the area and may have got into difficulties.

According to ITV News, a helicopter joined the police search for him along the 350ft high cliffs.

Police are appealing to any members of the public who believe they have seen Simon since Friday 20 December to contact them as a matter of urgency.
