Missing teen's body found on beach in Cumbria

A body found on a beach in Cumbria has been identified as missing teenager Callum Chapman.

The 17-year-old was reported missing on Sunday while visiting relatives in the town of Maryport.

His body was found by a member of the public on a remote stretch of beach near the Maryport Golf Club at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, reports the News and Star.

A police spokesman told the Grimsby Telegraph: "Police officers attended and located the body of a man, who has been formally identified as being Callum William Chapman, 17, from Grimsby."

He added: "There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed."

Callum lived with his father in Holton-le-Clay and had been visiting his father's relatives in Maryport.

His mother, Nicola Moody, travelled to the area from her home in the West Midlands as soon as Callum went missing.
