He's behind you! Whale photobombs wedding picture

A couple certainly weren't expecting to have this much of a whale of a time on their wedding day - as a boisterous beluga cheekily photobombed their wedding snaps.

Amanda Leigh and her husband Patrick were posing for photos at the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, USA, when 11-year-old male Juno swam behind them and flashed a big grin.

The couple, from West Haven, Connecticut, had paused to fix Amanda's dress when Juno decided he wanted to be part of their special day.

And now Amanda and Patrick have decided to use the hilarious image as their Christmas card to send to their friends and family as it hasn't stopped making them smile.

Amanda, 27, told Caters News: "It was just a lucky photo - we were down in front of the aquarium taking pictures and paused to fix the dress when the whale happened to come over.

"My husband and I looked behind us and he was right there saying 'hello'. He was really showing off for the crowd - he's amazing.

"We never in a million years thought this would be anything. But we used it as our Christmas card and everyone loves it."

Juno is 11ft and nine inches long, weighs 1,320lbs and is known for his playful nature.

He is so popular he even has his own Facebook fan page created by a visitor to the aquarium who fell in love with the whale after an encounter with him last year.

Amanda added Juno made their wedding day and that they're planning on returning to the aquarium for next year's Christmas card as well.
