Mozambique Airlines plane crashes killing all on board

A plane carrying 33 people crashed in a remote area in northeastern Namibia, killing everyone on board.

The burned wreckage of the Mozambique Airlines flight was found by police on Saturday.

A police spokesman told AFP: "My team on the ground have found the wreckage. No survivors. The plane is totally burned."

The plane was en route to Angola from Mozambique and went down in deserted, swampy terrain in the Bwabwata National Park.

Speaking to Reuters, a game ranger said: "The bodies are scattered all over the place. It's a horrible sight."

In a statement, Mozambique Airlines listed the nationalities of the passengers on board. There were 10 Mozambicans, nine Angolans, five Portuguese, one French, one Brazilian and one Chinese.
