Man's body crashes through hotel glass ceiling
A man's body fell through the glass ceiling of a luxury hotel in Hollywood on Sunday.
Police are investigating his death after he fell through the ceiling of an atrium at the Hollywood Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.
NBC 6 reports that police are trying to determine whether his death was accidental.
Witnesses said that the impact sounded like a bomb going off.
Joel Medina, a spokesman for Hollywood Fire Rescue, told the Sun Sentinel: "There was glass and debris in the lobby. And there was damage to a sprinkler pipe that caused the sprinkler system to go on."
The incident happened during a charity fundraiser when there were around 600 guests at the event.
It is not known whether the man was a guest at the event.
