A convicted British paedophile has been found in bed with an eight-year-old boy during a raid on a guesthouse in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia.

Richard Fruin, 36, from Gloucestershire, has been arrested and charged with molesting a child. He has already served a year in prison in the UK after being convicted for 15 counts of child pornography, reports the Daily Mail.

Fruin has been working as an English teacher in the country, according to the anti-paedophile group Action Pour Les Enfants.

Speaking to the Cambodia Daily, Lieutenant Colonel Lao Lin, head of Cambodia's anti-human trafficking department said "We arrested him for sleeping with an eight-year-old at his guesthouse.

"We are still investigating to determine whether or not he had sex with the boy."

Pen Chantha, owner of the Boeung Meas Guesthouse, confirmed to the newspaper that Fruin had been staying at the guesthouse for around a month.

"I was shocked when the police came to arrest him... I never saw anything strange while he was staying at my guesthouse," she said.

The mother of the child who was found with Fruin said that all three of her sons had told police that they had been abused by him.
