The UK's most influential car manufacturers revealed

CarDealer Magazine has spent the last seven days analysing the UK car industry and in particular, the influence certain manufacturers have on the social networking site Twitter.
Using Klout - a web tool that calculates the social media influence a Twitter user has - the magazine has come up with a comprehensive table that reveals the most influential manufacturer currently operating in the UK.

What is the list?

It's a list of the most influential car manufacturers on Twitter. You'll see there are a few car makers missing from the list and that's because CarDealer used a set criteria. Instead, it concentrated on the UK and looked for Twitter accounts which were UK-based. To be on the list, each company either had a UK-based Twitter feed or, if they had a global feed, they had to be British. Th magazine then researched each company's influence to reveal the industry's top tweeters.

How does Klout work?

A Klout score is a number given between one and 100, which takes into consideration a user's interaction on Twitter to work out their overall influence – the higher the number, the more influential the user. For our list, where Klout scores were the same, number of followers was taken into consideration.
