Orangutan rescued by charity after being tied up by villagers in Borneo
A female orangutan was rescued by a British charity after she was captured and tortured by villagers in Borneo.
She was given no food or water and was tied up and forced to entertain them.
The Daily Mail reports that International Animal Rescue saved the orangutan and will soon be releasing her into a safe area.
The population of orangutans in Borneo has declined due to the spread of humans, who chop down trees to make room for their villages.
There are less than 54,000 orangutans left in Borneo.
