Brad Pitt's stuntman stabbed with a bayonet on location in Oxfordshire

A British stuntman acting in Brad Pitt's new film Fury has been stabbed with a bayonet while on set in the Oxfordshire countryside.

The 35-year-old was filming a one-on-one fighting scene when the incident took place.

Fury is set in the Second World War and is being filmed in the countryside around the Chiltern hills.

The injured stuntman was rushed to the John Radcliffe hospital hospital after the nine-inch blade penetrated his left shoulder.

Thames Valley Police said "no-one famous" was injured, and they are not treating the incident as a crime, reports the Press Association.

A spokesman said: "Police were called at 11.40am this morning to reports that a man had been injured on a film set in Pyrton, in the Chiltern foothills.

Officers attended and the man was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment. "No-one famous was injured and we are not investigating any further."

The spokesman said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed.
