Hotel in Scotland closes with guests still inside

A Scottish hotel closed without informing its guests who were still inside.

The Glenisla Hotel near Alyth closed while a Danish couple and a woman from Dundee with her dog were still staying there.

According to The Courier, the owner was taken ill and left. A cleaner then arrived to cook breakfast and tend to the guests but she told them that the hotel would be closing for good later in the morning.

The guest from Dundee said: "When I got up on the Friday morning around 7am the bedroom was stone cold, there were no radiators on and no heat.

"I got up to take the dog for a walk and there was nobody in the hotel at all, and the owners cars that had been parked outside were not there."
