For sale: $17.8m 'Versailles' mansion built specially for wedding

But one Canadian couple must be contenders for the most extravagant wedding expense - a mansion based on the Palace of Versailles. The house, which features a balcony especially designed for the couple's first kiss, is now up for sale just a year after the wedding for $17.8 million, according to the Toronto Star.
