A plane carrying 400 passengers made an emergency landing when its tyres exploded soon after take-off.

The Kabo Air flight from Kano, Nigeria to Saudi Arabia had to divert to Sokoto, Nigeria, the Daily Post reports.

All the passengers on the Boeing 747 were evacuated.

According to African Spotlight, the incident happened a day after an Associated Airlines aircraft crashed after taking off from Murtala Muhammed Airport in Nigeria, killing 13 passengers.
