Tony Blair has his own £30million private plane for travelling around the world.

The former prime minister's bespoke jet, which costs £7,000-an-hour, comes complete with a stateroom, lounge, kitchen and bed.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, it is not known how often he uses the Bombardier Global Express as his flight details are kept secret but in the past month it is reported to be his favourite mode of travel when working as a business consultant and public speaker.

The Daily Mail reports that Blair is believed to have used the plane for trips to Bangkok, New York, Sardinia, Israel and Switzerland.

Bombardier told the paper: "This jet was purpose-built to fulfil the desires of the most sophisticated and demanding business travellers without compromise."

The plane which seats 19 has a black and gold livery and luxurious interiors, including leather seats.

A spokesman for Blair's office said: "Taxpayers do not foot any part of the bill."
