Man sets record for world's fastest drift

In the second record-breaking story of the day, racing driver Kuba Przygonski has entered the Guinness Book of Records for the world's fastest drift.
Using a highly modified Toyota GT86 – with power up from the stock 197bhp to a Bugatti Veyron beating 1,068bhp – Przygonskin was able to get the sports car sideways at a dizzying 217.973 km/h (135.44mph in real money), faster than anyone else has ever managed.

The record attempt took place at Poland's former military airport at Biala Podlaska, which is one of the few places where you can safely get a car at a 49-degree angle at nearly twice the UK national speed limit.

What's more, Przygonski entered the high-speed slide at an incredible 159mph.

You can watch footage of his ballsy record-breaking run below.
