Brazilian businessman 'buries Bentley' to raise awareness for organ donation

A wealthy Brazilian businessman has hit headlines today, claiming he was going to bury his Bentley Flying Spur limousine, so that he could use it in the afterlife.> stated that he was inspired to bury his treasured belongings after being inspired by a documentary on the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt.

He even posted pictures to his Facebook account of him standing next to the shiny black Bentley with a shovel in hand and a sizeable hole at his feet.

In one caption, he wrote: "I decided to do as the Pharaohs: this week I will bury my favourite car, the Bentley here in the home garden! Bury my treasure in my palace rssss !!!"

In actual fact, rather than being a certified mental, the clever Count courted the media attention to promote life-saving organ donations.

In a statement, Mr Scarpa said: "I have not buried my car, but everyone thought it absurd when I said I'd do it.

"It is absurd to bury their bodies, which can save many lives. Nothing is more valuable. Be a donor, tell your family."

His PR stunt certainly worked. A photo of the Count holding a sign reading "I am an organ donor. Are you?" has spread like wildfire over social media sites, being shared over 40,000 times in just 24 hours.
