Driver tries a shortcut and gets wedged on stairs

A driver in St Austell was trying to make his way around road closures, when he ended up driving down an alleyway, and was faced with a set of steps. The steps looked wide enough to squeeze his Citroen Xsara Picasso down, but his people carrier turned out to be no match for the steps.

So is this the most embarrassing decision a driver has ever made?
