Fisherman finds body in sea off coast of Scotland
A fisherman has found the body of a man floating in the North Sea off Angus in Scotland.
The body was spotted about a mile and a half from the village of Auchmithie at around 10.30am.
According to the BBC, police inquirers are under way to establish the man's identity.
A spokesman for the Police Scotland told the Scotsman: "The fisherman immediately contacted the Coastguard, who in turn contacted Tayside Division.
"The lifeboat at Arbroath was launched and the body recovered. Police enquiries are now underway to establish the person's identity."
Back in July, the body of a woman in her 30s was discovered by a walker on a beach in East Lothian, Scotland.
According to the Daily Record, police were called out to the beach at Aberlady, near Craigielaw Point and Gullane Beach.
The BBC reports that it is thought the woman's body had washed ashore. Investigations are ongoing, but the death was not being treated as suspicious.
