North-south house price gap widens

The North-South divide on house prices is widening, with just one in 10 homes in some areas within financial reach for first-time buyers on average local incomes, according to a new study.

Research by search engine Adzuna.co.uk showed that Chichester in West Sussex is the least affordable place in the UK, while Belfast and Hull are the most affordable.
