A hitch-hiker has escaped death, after the van driver giving her a lift purposefully collided with a train at a level crossing just moments after picking her up.

26-year-old Martina Jankowska was thumbing for a lift in Radom, Poland when she was picked up by an unidentified driver in a blue van.
