Virgin Atlantic is bringing live music to the skies above Britain with a series of mini gigs for passengers at 30,000 feet.

Emeli Sande and Mike Oldfield have been announced as performers for Little Red LIVE, an intimate gig on domestic flights from London Heathrow to Edinburgh and Manchester.

Passengers on selected Little Red flights will be treated to the exclusive, live music and comedy gigs from a series of rising stars.

The airline has already staged comedy during Edinburgh Festival Fringe with fresh talent performing exclusive live stand up in the sky before they land and take to the stage in Edinburgh.

Virgin Atlantic founder Sir Richard Branson said: "In true Virgin Atlantic spirit we're doing something a little different and providing our passengers with a line-up of gigs to ensure we offer a truly unforgettable flying experience on Little Red."

The series of music gigs kick off on 13 September and more acts will be announced on Virgin Atlantic's Facebook and Twitter pages in the coming weeks.
